Unit Manager at the Social Insurance Agency in Kalmar

Every year, the Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion SEK each year. Responsibilities and Tasks

As a unit manager, you are the leader who is closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you communicate clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.

Your unit consists of 20 employees who work with Housing Allowance and Housing Supplement and are located in Kalmar. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you are a support for the area manager and you are part of the area's management group consisting of 19 people where you contribute with your competence and commitment. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

  • have experience in planning your operations in collaboration with colleagues at a distance
  • have a good understanding of the Social Insurance Agency's mission.

This is a permanent, full-time position, with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Remote work is possible if the work allows.
